Pam has what I consider to be one of the most important qualities in a teacher – genuine curiosity. Her explorations into the poses – different ways to build them, and how they inform other movements always yield insightful and interesting classes. In Pam’s class, you’ll find yourself engaging muscles you didn’t know you had in shapes both familiar and new. With clear and concise cueing, intelligent sequencing, and a solid foundation of knowledge, Pam’s classes are interesting, informative, and a pleasure to be a part of.

What I appreciate most about Pam’s Ropes classes is her ideas for using the ropes creatively for the limitations of a septuagenerian. She is always experimenting with new approaches to see what works best.

Pam is a thoughtful and skilled yogi. Every pose she guides you through in class has a purpose directed toward strengthening, lengthening, and/or increasing flexibility, and results in the added bonus of being able to move more comfortably in everyday life. I’ve learned something new in every class she has taught and would highly recommend her classes to anyone who wants to feel inspired, confident, and just plain better.

You might think it’s scary being upside down like Sirsasana (headstand) or floating in the air like Salabhasana (Locust pose), but no worries, because with Pam’s precise instructions, beautiful demos, and careful observation of each student, I always feel safe, and comfortable, and joyful when practicing each pose in her class.

If you are in the area, I highly recommend taking Pam’s class. You will be surprised and amazed by the feeling of joy that permeates your body!

Pam always has an exciting class planned, with a highly logical flow from one pose to the next. Her love of yoga ropes, her delight in exploration, her clarity, and her tremendous respect for others is evident. In short, Pam is an excellent teacher!

I decided to take one-on-one yoga classes with Pam in her studio because I have endured quite a few health challenges, including a labral tear and a back injury that led to spinal fusion surgery. As a result I had a fear of practicing yoga again, but Pam made me feel secure and at ease. She designed a program  for me focused on core stability and hip strength and provided modifications for challenging poses. I  didn’t think I would ever be able to practice yoga again, but Pam made it happen for me. Her philosophy is that yoga is for everyone and she uses techniques from the Iyengar method during her one-on-one teaching sessions to provide personalized adaptations.
